This activity is best for ages 14 and older.
This is a modified, in person volunteering opportunity. Detailed instructions and educational resources will be sent to you upon registration. You will meet with our nonprofit partner directly for the service opportunity onsite. A COVID waiver from both Generation SERVE and our nonprofit partner will be required. Join us for an outdoor, on-farm work day with Plant It Forward!
Come ready to work and get dirty! Volunteers will help farmers at Plant It Forward Westbury and Plant It Forward Volunteer Farm Stewards with farm tasks like weeding and mulching. Volunteers are asked to bring their own water and dress appropriately for the weather. Close-toed shoes are required. We recommend wearing:
- long pants and long socks - in all weather. Beware of fire ants!
- sunscreen and a hat, as needed
- rain gear (poncho, jacket), as needed
