We are offering a third session of our Summer Leadership Academy on August 10-14! The Summer Leadership Academy is an opportunity for children ages 8-12 to explore an issue in Houston in detail, hear from nonprofits that work with that issue, and prepare a plan of action to help. This week focuses on how kids can help people in our community. Campers will hear from several nonprofits and how they help seniors, people experiencing food insecurity, and people experiencing homelessness. Campers will also prepare their own plan of action to help!. Participants in the Summer Leadership Academy will receive all necessary materials for projects to help local nonprofits, daily Zoom calls with all participants, a Generation SERVE t-shirt, and five community service hour credits.
