This is a modified, in person volunteering opportunity. Detailed instructions and educational resources will be sent to you upon registration. You will meet with our nonprofit partner directly for the service opportunity onsite. A COVID waiver from both Generation SERVE and our nonprofit partner will be required.

This activity is best for ages 6 and up with a parent or guardian. Mature teens may participate as a drop off event with certain additional requirements.

Join us to help Urban Harvest at the Youth Going Green Community Garden. This garden was created to provide a wholesome, educational and fun after school program for youth (ages 5-16) in the community. The garden has 15 fifteen beds. The crops are not sold but distributed to families of the children in the after school program or to neighboring senior citizens. Volunteers will maintain the garden beds and may pull weeds spread mulch, compost, fertilize or hand till. Please wear closed toe shoes, long pants, a hat, and water bottle. Please also bring your own gardening gloves if you would like them. Hand sanitizer and tools will be provided.

Please note that all volunteers must wear a mask and maintain social distancing. You will be sent detailed instructions prior to the event and will be asked to sign a Generation SERVE waiver and complete registration with Urban Harvest.
