9947 Harwin Dr., Suites B & C
Houston, TX 77036

Please note that you will not be able to see 9947 from the street. Turn in between 9941 and 9949 Harwin Drive. Come straight back between the two buildings and the warehouse is on the right. You will see the BBK banner.

This is a modified, in person volunteering opportunity. Detailed instructions and educational resources will be sent to you upon registration. You will meet with our nonprofit partner directly for the service opportunity onsite. A COVID waiver from both Generation SERVE and our nonprofit partner will be required.

This activity is best for ages 7 and up with a parent or guardian.

Join Books Between Kids to help sort donated books in their warehouse! Books Between Kids' mission is to build home libraries for children in need, one summer at a time.  At your volunteer shift, there are various opportunities to participate:

  • Book Sorting -- Volunteers will sort and box donated books.
  • Bagging Books for School Distribution -- Volunteers will pre-bag books for distribution to our partner schools.

Volunteer safety is a top priority. There are several tables/stations spread throughout the warehouse to ensure the recommended social distancing protocols for volunteers.. All volunteers must wear a mask and maintain social distancing.

You will be sent detailed instructions prior to the event and will be asked to sign a Generation SERVE waiver and complete registration with Books Between Kids at this link.
