This activity is for all ages!
This activity is virtual and requires you to provide your own supplies -- Grocery Bags for Toy Collection, Toy Drive Flyers (template below). Families who sign up for this event will receive a separate email with detailed instructions and further information about our nonprofit partner and how we can help! Feel free to do this activity when convenient for your family. Please plan to drop off donations to our bins no later than Monday, December 14th.
Join Generation SERVE to help our new partner Toys for Tots with their toy drive for Houston children. The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
This is the PICK Up portion of our Toy Drive. Please be sure to also sign up for the Drop Off portion on December 6th. On Sunday, December 6th, volunteers will make a Toys for Tots Toy Drive flyer, like the one HERE, and attach it to empty grocery bags. Then volunteers will distribute the bags by dropping them off at the front porch or door of their neighbors' homes, requesting that they help fill the bag with a new, unwrapped toy or toys.
The next Sunday, December 13th, volunteers will return to their neighbors' homes to pick up the toy donations in a safe, socially distanced way.
You can drop off donations to our Generation SERVE bins at 801 Bering Dr, 77057 no later than 12/14/20, or directly to the Toys for Tots Drop Off site at
CubeSmart Self Storage between the hours of 9:30 and 5:00 no later than 12/17/20.
