This activity is best for kids ages 6 and up!

This activity is virtual and requires you to provide your own supplies -please see below for details. Families who sign up for this event will receive a separate email with detailed instructions and further information about our nonprofit partner and how we can help! Please feel free to do this activity when most convenient for your family. We ask that you plan to drop off donations by February 23rd so we can have them delivered to SEARCH for distribution.

SEARCH Homeless is in need of lanyards like this one among their newly housed clients and clients still on the streets. Many of them find lanyards a handy way to keep important ID documents securely on them at all times. If you do not like to sew, there are also no-sew lanyards lanyards that can be made or decorated. SEARCH would absolutely welcome decorated ribbons or rainbow loom strings clipped or tied to badge holders like these as no-sew options. Pre-made lanyards decorated with fabric paint or markers would work perfectly too. You can also make homemade cards to go with the lanyards! SEARCH provides hope, creates opportunity, and transforms lives for thousands of men, women, and children who are trying to break free from the cycle of poverty and homelessness in Houston.

You can drop off the lanyards to our Generation SERVE bins at HCRJ, 801 Bering Drive, 77057. Please do so by February 23rd if possible.
