This is a virtual Teen activity and will include a Zoom component. It is intended for for teens, ages 13-18. The Zoom link will arrive in the automated reminder email two days before the activity.
For this activity, you will participate in a Zoom discussion with Michelle Sacks from the Houston Area Women's Center (HAWC) to learn more about what they do and how you can help. Then you will make kits to donate to the HAWC on your own.
You will need to provide the supplies for this activity. You can complete this activity on your own anytime during the month.
HAWC has eight different types of kits. Click HERE for the informational flyer about the kits to choose which one(s) you would like to make. You can choose to make multiple of the same kit or make a variety of kits. Please follow their packing directions closely.
You can create as many kits as your family is able to donate. We recommend a minimum of 6 kits.
When finished, you can drop the lunch kits off at Houston Area Women's Center.
Drop-Off Address: 1010 Waugh Drive, Houston, TX 77019
