Activity Description
SERVE at Home is a way for your family to spread kindness and help our community on your own, anytime, anywhere! We want to keep Austin volunteering all week long! Please RSVP on our calendar so we can let our non-profit partner know how many items to expect.
For this activity, you will work with your family at home to assemble flu kits for Hope Clinic to hand out to their clients. It is no fun to be sick, but your family can help make a difference with kind words and a few supplies to get people through their illness.
You will need to provide the supplies for this activity. You can complete this activity on your own anytime during the month.
Activity Directions
Please include the following items in your flu kits:
- one or two disposable masks
- travel size tissues
- two individually wrapped tea bags
- travel sized hand sanitizer
- chapstick
- a hand made card - Please include notes of encouragement, such as "Have a great day!", instead of "Get Well Soon."
If you would like to include a new toothbrush and travel sized toothpaste, that is always appreciated.
Place the items in a ziplock bag to deliver to Hope Clinic.
You can purchase supplies for and make as many flu kits as your family is able to donate. We recommend making 6 flu kits, but any amount you can put together is appreciated.

More About Our Partner
At Hope Clinic, experienced and dedicated healthcare professionals as well as non-clinical administrators give hours of their valuable time to care for patients in underserved communities. The clinic is 100% supported by donations and grants. Patients often give $10 toward their care, but are never turned away for inability to donate.
Support Generation SERVE
A $10 donation would help us continue developing new activities and ways for families to spread kindness throughout the community. You also can become a family sponsor to support us in providing fun volunteer opportunities for other families! Thank you for your support and generosity! We appreciate it!
