Distribute Hygiene Products to People Experiencing Homelessness with Socks for the Sole

Activity Description

Help make a difference for our neighbors experiencing homelessness by joining Socks for the Sole and handing out hygiene products, services, and hygiene-related information for people who are experiencing homelessness. You could be helping to set up or clean up for the event, to put together care packages, or to collect products to distribute. 

Socks for the Sole is partnering with Lost & Found Austin for this distribution event. Lost & Found Austin provides food, clothes, socks, and the other items weekly to their attendees. There will also be opportunities for volunteers to play games with the attendees. The goal is to provide under donated products and access to services that are often not provided for people experiencing homelessness.

Activity Requirements

• This activity is designed for children ages 13 and up.
• This activity takes place outdoors. Dress appropriately for the weather.
• Generation SERVE adheres to the following COVID-19 policies to help keep your family and ours safe. We will continue to respect our partners' mask requirements as well as your family's decision around wearing masks.
