SERVE at Home - Snack Care Kits for STARRY

Activity Description

SERVE at Home is a way for your family to spread kindness and help our community on your own, anytime, anywhere! We want to keep Austin volunteering all week long!

For this activity, you will work with your family at home to make snack kits for STARRY. These kits will help the children who participate in the programs at STARRY have a healthy filling snack after a long day at school.

You will need to provide the supplies for this activity. You can complete this activity on your own anytime during the month.

Activity Directions

You will need the following supplies:

• Quart sized ziplock bags
• Small (8 oz.) water bottles
• Non perishable peanut butter sandwich crackers
• paper, crayons and/or markers
• Stickers (optional)

Make a cheerful card to put in the snack bag. Put a small water bottle and one peanut butter cracker package in each ziplock bag. Optional - If you have any loose stickers such as smiley faces, stars, etc. to add inside the bag for the children to use, they will be an added bonus. You can purchase and make as many snack kits as your family is able to donate. We recommend a minimum of 8 snack kits.

Drop-Off Instructions:

When finished, please make arrangements to deliver the completed bags to one of the locations listed below:

Activity Requirements

• This activity is great for all ages. 
• Our program is designed to be a family experience. We want parents and caregivers to work alongside their child(ren) for all our Family Volunteering activities.
