Activity Description

SERVE at Home is a way for your family to spread kindness and help our community on your own, anytime, anywhere! We want to keep Austin volunteering all week long! Please RSVP on our calendar so we can let our non-profit partner know how many items to expect.

For this activity, you will work with your family at home to assemble Get Well kits for SAFE to hand out to their clients for them to use as they heal from violence and work towards creating happy memories. These kits will help the clients they serve feel better as they recover from illness.

You will need to provide the supplies for this activity. You can complete this activity on your own anytime during the month.

Activity Directions

To make a Get Well Kit, please include the the following items in a bag or small box:

  • 1 small bottle of adult pain reliever
  • 1 small bottle of child pain reliever
  • 1 adult cold medicine
  • 1 child cold medicine
  • 1 small box of Band-Aids
  • 1 travel size box of Q-tips
  • 5 - 10 packets of alcohol prep pads
  • 1 thermometer
  • 1 small heating pad

You can purchase supplies for and make as many Get Well kits as your family is able to donate. We recommend making 1 kit, but making more is appreciated.
