SERVE at Home - Make Hygiene Kits for Foster Village

Activity Description

SERVE at Home is a way for your family to spread kindness and help our community on your own, anytime, anywhere! We want to keep Austin volunteering all week long!

For this activity, you will work with your family at home to make hygiene kits for Foster Village Austin. By providing families with hygiene kits, your family alleviates the financial burden of the basics.

You will need to provide the supplies for this activity. You can complete this activity on your own anytime during the month.

Activity Directions

Purchase the following items to include in your hygiene kit and put them in a reusable bag or small plastic storage bin for easy storage and delivery.

The most needed toiletry supplies are:

• Shampoo + Conditioner
• Bodywash
• Lotion
• Toothbrush + Toothpaste
• Hair Brush
• Hair Ties
• Deodorant
• A reusable bag or plastic storage bin for each care package

Place the items in a reusable bag or plastic storage bin. You can also make cards to place in the kits with messages to brighten the day of the families receiving these kits.

You can purchase supplies for and make as many kits as your family is able to donate. We recommend making 1 hygiene kit, but any amount you can put together is appreciated.

Please contact Foster Village at https://www.fostervillageaustin.org/contact or 512-599-4144 to arrange a time to drop off your kits at one of the Foster Village resource centers listed above.

• Our program is designed to be a family experience. We want parents and caregivers to work alongside their child(ren) for all our Family Volunteering activities.
