SERVE at Home - Make Gift Wrapping Kits for SAFE

Activity Description

SERVE at Home is a way for your family to spread kindness and help our community on your own, anytime, anywhere! We want to keep Austin volunteering all week long! Please RSVP on our calendar so we can let our non-profit partner know how many items to expect.

For this activity, you will work with your family at home to assemble gift wrapping kits for SAFE to hand out to their clients for them to use to celebrate the holidays as they heal from violence and work towards creating happy memories.

You will need to provide the supplies for this activity. You can complete this activity on your own anytime during the month.

Activity Directions

To make a Gift Wrapping Kit, please include ALL of the following items in a bag or box:

• 2 rolls of wrapping paper (Please choose snowmen, penguins, and Rudolph as opposed to manger scenes to accommodate all religious backgrounds)
• 5 gift bags of assorted sizes
• tissue paper
• 1 roll of tape
• 1 pair of scissors
• gift tags
• 1 pen or marker

You can purchase supplies for and make as many Gift Wrapping kits as your family is able to donate. We recommend making 1 kit, but making more is appreciated.

Delivery Instructions:

Kits need to be delivered to the receptionist at the Resource Center at 1515A Grove Blvd. Austin, TX 78741 during open hours (Mon - Fri, 8a - 4p). Kits can be delivered prior to December 8, but they must be delivered no later than 4p on December 8.



*Please note - The SAFE Warehouse is closed on November 23rd & 24th.

• Our program is designed to be a family experience. We want parents and caregivers to work alongside their child(ren) for all our Family Volunteering activities.
