Cheer on runners at the Mile 15 Aid Station of The Austin Marathon! You will be setting up the aid station before the race starts, and then handing out water, sports drinks, and cheering on runners as they reach mile 15! The aid station will be at Speedway and 45th. This shift allows you to see the fastest racers run past the aid station on race day!
Note that this shift starts while it is still dark outside. A flashlight or headlamp is recommended. Also note that this shift is best for older children (ages 10+) as it is dark and the street is not shut down to traffic completely. If you have younger volunteers who'd like to cheer on runners, please sign up for one of the other two shifts.
The Austin Marathon strives to improve the lives of those around us through meaningful events and partnerships. This goes beyond the participants and reaches into the realms of spectators, passersby, the community as a whole, and other companies and community partners, including Generation SERVE!
