Please go to the East parking lot next to KIPP Academy. A Generation SERVE activity lead in a blue Generation SERVE t-shirt will meet you there.

In light of the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic, Generation SERVE has made the difficult decision to cancel this group volunteering event. We are following the Center for Disease Control guidance that suggests limiting group gatherings at this time. We will continue to monitor the recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and hope to resume this activity very soon. Please see our website for our Helping While Home page for ways you can support our partners and community while our group activities are on pause. Thank you for your understanding!

This activity is best for children aged 6 and up.

Join Generation SERVE to volunteer for the Christian Community Service Center (CSSC) Emergency Services-Southwest Food Fair to serve our neighbors in need. A food fair looks much like a farmer's market. CSSC receives several pallets of fresh produce and food products from the Houston Food Bank to distribute to hundreds of community members. This activity supplements their ongoing food pantry efforts to eliminate hunger in the Alief/Sharpstown/Gulfton area.

Volunteers will greet and guide clients, organize and pass out nutritious fruits and vegetables and more. Volunteers will be outside and light lifting may be required. Please wear comfortable, cool clothing/shoes, headgear and sunscreen. Water will be supplied.

The mission of CSSC is to is to serve the poor, hungry, disabled, and otherwise needy while respecting their religious, ethnic or cultural differences.
