A Generation SERVE activity lead (in a blue GS t-shirt) will meet you at the event!

As our state and country continue to grapple with how to proceed in this unprecedented challenge to public health and education, Literacy Now supports the nation’s need to flatten the curve of the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, it has been canceling/postponing many events and programs. Its most recent development is canceling our upcoming Family Literacy Night on Thursday, April 16 at Coral Club Apartments. We hope to reschedule at a later date. Please see the Helping While Home page on our website as a resource on how we can meet our community needs in these uncertain times from home. Please also see our serve-from-home projects that we post on our Facebook page everyday. Stay well!

This activity is best for children ages 7 and up. Spanish Bilingual Speakers Only Please!

If you speak Spanish, please join Generation SERVE at Literacy Now's Family Literacy Night ! These fun, free, interactive outreach events provide materials, education and activities to encourage reading as a way of life. Each child is able to choose 3 books to take home with them while parents leave equipped with literacy kits and skills to support literacy development at home. Generation SERVE volunteers will help manage literacy activity stations and interact with families to help provide them with the best experience possible! Please RSVP no later than April 9. We will email you with details of your activity station in advance of the event!
